Mr Satyanand Rao was born into a lower-middle-class family. Education was a higher priority in their family. He graduated with First Class Honours from Bombay University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry and Microbiology. He also earned a master's degree in organic chemistry from Bombay University.

Mr Satyanand Rao's father was a businessman who tried his hand at a variety of ventures but was unable to be financially successful for a variety of reasons. This left a lasting impression on Mr Satyanand Rao's mind as he grew up. He was determined to build a financially successful business in the future.

He first got a job in order to gain experience. He worked for about 12 years and gained valuable experience in production and operations. He decided to purchase an industrial plot because the idea of going out on his own was always in the back of his mind. Despite the fact that he lacked the necessary funds, he borrowed them from his family in order to purchase the Industrial plot.

He took the plunge and founded Narsipur Chemicals in 1989.

He took out a bank loan to fund his operations, using the plot as collateral. He introduced his first product.

This first product was not well received by the market. He was unable to gain traction and thus failed.

It put a significant strain on the company's cash flow. It was a huge setback for the aspiring entrepreneur at the time. Many of his family and friends encouraged him to return to his corporate job. That time period was extremely emotionally draining. His father's business experiences would also haunt him on numerous occasions.

Despite his constant fear of failure, he was hell-bent on making it a success. He turned off all the noises around him and in his head and returned to work on the second product. He was even more conscientious this time.

He introduced his second product to the market. The initial response to the product was extremely positive. Many professionals and doctors recognised the product's effectiveness and need. This gave him the assurance and motivation he needed to pursue it further.

He would drive down to remote areas by himself and sell them farm to farm. Sales began to increase, and his products gained a reputation. They began generating export orders after participating in various domestic and international exhibitions.

Narsipur Chemicals is now a world-renowned manufacturer of Animal, Health, Hygiene, disinfection, sanitation product and biosecurity products. Their goal is to become the world's leading manufacturer of animal disinfectants and sanitizers. Mr Satyanand's daughters have joined the company and are charting the course for the company's next major milestones.
