When Mr. Ram Patel was 14, his village in Gujarat was destroyed by an earthquake.

He came from a poor family, so his family sent him off to Mumbai so he could have a better life.

Mr Ram Patel started out as an assistant in a store that sold office supplies. Each day, he was paid Rs 2.50. Since he couldn't pay to rent a house, he slept every night on the sidewalk.

Even though he was in this situation, he always had a good attitude about life. Mr Ram Patel was always excited about life and would say "yes" to any odd opportunities that came his way. Mr Ram Patel became known for "get it done" attitude.

Then he started getting offers for jobs where he would work with a partner. Mr. Ram Patel would work very hard to make it work. But, for one reason or another, partnerships would always end. Over the course of 20 years, he had a string of failed partnerships.

Mr. Ram Patel never gave up, and he always had the drive to start over from the beginning. But this time, he decided to go it alone and started Samay Print Solutions Pvt Ltd. Today, Samay Prints has a state-of-the-art printing facility in Navi Mumbai that employs more than 150 people and makes more than Rs 50 crs in sales.
