Dr. Amogha Idnani

Born and raised in the heart of Mumbai, Dr. Amogha Idnani grew up in the vibrant neighbourhood of Worli, with childhood memories etched around the lanes of Prabhadevi and Siddhivinayak. As a child, her natural leadership showed early—whether it was organising mock elections during holidays or orchestrating group concerts. She pursued her passion for healthcare by studying homeopathy and later stepped into the world of pharmaceuticals.

story1

Her journey, however, was never one-dimensional. Coming from a family where her mother was a banker and father ran an interior design business, Amogha absorbed values from both precision and creativity. Though she initially practiced medicine, she soon realised her true calling extended beyond the clinical room. She pursued her post-graduation in marketing from Vivekanand Educational Society's Institute of Management Studies & Research and further sharpened her human capital instincts with a specialisation in HR from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

story2

In parallel, Rajesh Idnani was carving his own path. A born communicator and energetic go-getter, Rajesh began his career in sales and banking before completing his MBA. He took a bold step into the insurance industry during its early boom, driven by the lure of leadership roles and the opportunity to grow in a sunrise sector. His natural flair for training and development soon became apparent—traits that would later become cornerstones of his journey.

story3

The paths of Amogha and Rajesh intersected at their management institute, where they became partners not just in academics, but in life. Married in 2004, the couple shared a dream of building something together. In 2005, that dream took form with the launch of Quotient Consultancy, later formalised as QC Acumen Pvt. Ltd.

story4

Amogha, the founder, began with no clients, no office—just conviction. From her home, she handled every aspect of recruitment, leveraging her familiarity with the pharmaceutical world. Her first break came through Yash Pharmaceuticals. From there, the momentum built. Soon, they transitioned to a small rented office in Chembur and expanded their client base, primarily in the pharmaceutical and BFSI sectors.

story5

The early days weren’t easy. Recruitment is a credit-based business with long cycles and unpredictability. Yet, by instilling a culture of speed, precision, and never-give-up spirit, Amogha laid the groundwork for what would become a highly respected HR consulting brand. A simple but powerful promise defined their ethos—“24-hour turnaround with quality.” Candidates were not just data points; they were people. And clients weren’t just businesses; they were long-term partners.

story6

Around 2006, Rajesh made a life-altering decision. Leaving behind his fast-paced career in financial services, he joined Amogha full-time. While Amogha focused on operations, Rajesh brought in his strategic vision and strong relationship-building skills. During this time, he also took to corporate training, delivering sessions across top institutions and companies to support the business financially.

story7

Their journey was built on mutual respect and a shared vision. While Amogha took a sabbatical post-childbirth, Rajesh led the firm with agility. When she returned, they had already moved from rented premises to their own office. The firm then had a strong 10–12 member team, including the core team members who are still part of the business two decades later.

story8

By 2015, QC Acumen had firmly established itself as a respected name in the recruitment ecosystem. What began as a modest, Mumbai-based venture had grown into a trusted partner for many of India’s leading Banks and pharma companies. Their success wasn’t just measured in revenue or headcount—it was reflected in the depth of client relationships and the consistency of delivery.

story9

But true to their entrepreneurial spirit, Amogha and Rajesh knew they couldn’t stop there. With a strong foothold in the domestic market, they began exploring international opportunities—initially through existing networks, and later by building new ones from the ground up. Slowly but steadily, QC Acumen began servicing clients across the Middle East, especially in Qatar, Oman, and the UAE. They handled white-collar and niche mid-management mandates, bringing their hallmark precision and turnaround speed to new geographies.

story10

This wasn’t an accidental extension—it was a conscious evolution. They believed Indian consulting firms could not only compete but lead on the global stage, provided they stayed rooted in values and customer-centricity.

story11

Alongside international hiring, they expanded into full-spectrum HR services: learning and development, leadership coaching, employee engagement, policy frameworks, contract staffing, and payroll management. Their strength remained their ability to understand both the business need and the human context—delivering not just resumes, but right-fit talent who could thrive.

story12

Their team, many of whom have journeyed with them since inception, became more than employees—they became stakeholders in a shared mission. A mission to serve businesses by building their most important asset: people.

story13

Today, as they celebrate 20 years in business, QC Acumen is not just a recruitment agency—it is a holistic HR partner with a growing international footprint, a trusted advisor for companies seeking reliable, responsive, and relationship-driven talent solutions.
And for Amogha and Rajesh, this is still just the beginning.
